El Mojon Beach

The beach of El Mojon  a longish walk  50 min from Lo Pagan

It is on the other side of the Mar Menor and thus is  the actual Mediterranean Sea.
The waves can be more forceful here and the sea fresher .
It is busier than La Llana and also has several cafes near by.

Directions by car .. about 10mins

If you have a satnv  head for Playa De Las Higuericas.

Otherwise  drive up  Av. Romería de la Virgen del Carmen,  as far as the traffic lights by PACO LOCO  Asian Restaurant, turn RIGHT
Drive down this road (Calle Agustin, Calle Manila )  as far as it goes
Then take a right at the end  on to Calle Rio Sil
{ .. dont worry about the road arrows on the road  pointing against you  🙂
the roadway were altered a few years ago but some arrows pointing in the wrong direction still exist )

At  the end take a LEFT onto main road ..    Avenue Del Puerto

Go straight through the first roundabout  (With METAL Flamingos) ..  ( incidentally  this is where FLAMINGOs  congregate in the Mar MENOR  . They can generally be seen in the waters close to the right of this roundabout on either side of the road  )  The road to the road leads to the Salinas Port  nice area  where you can go in and view yachts close up  and have a bite to eat at the numerous restaurants

At the next roundabout ( with the funny shape like a boat)  Take  right towards El Mojon

Drive down this road..past the PINATAR ARENA on your right,

At end of the road follow the road around to the LEFT and try keep close to the sea front as possible

Eventually you will hit a juntion with no road ahead.. follow the road around left then right so you remain by beachfront
Eventually  you will see a large car park  , and just after this  is the main entrance to the main beach in El Mojon Playa De Las Higuericas.

The beach bars are restaurants here tend to get very busy  and pre booking may be required
